Kaski: Pumdikot in Pokhara has emerged as a popular destination for both local and international visitors.

Situated at an altitude of around 1,500 meters above sea level, it is home to a magnificent 52-foot-tall statue of Lord Shiva, which draws pilgrims and tourists alike, offering them a sense of spiritual closeness to the deity.

Pumdikot is usually crowded in the evening. People from both Nepal and India reach the location to experience the charm of Pokhara valley.

It can be the best destination for people, stuck in 10-5 job, to rejuvenate their self. The cool breeze, peaceful ambience and natural scene works as a therapy to recharge the energy.

The site has also become a sacred destination for pilgrims from both Nepal and India. The overall cost for completing the statue and its surrounding structures is estimated to be around 40 crore rupees.

This iconic figure is said to be the tallest Lord Shiva statue in Nepal. Brought all the way from Mathura, India, it is crafted with a fiber exterior and a sturdy steel interior.

In addition to the grand Shiva statue, the area will feature 108 Shiva Lingas, 108 Swargadwari Steps, a Sumeru Mountain model, Guru Maharaj Ashram, Green Garden, Peace Pillar, Senior Citizens’ Meeting Hall, Meditation Center, and other structures that further enhance the beauty of the site.

On clear days, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, as well as Phewa Lake and the entire Pokhara Valley.
