‘Hatya’: Crime and psychological thriller (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: The staging of the drama ‘Hatya‘ is underway at Mandala Theatre, Thapagaun.

The drama is based on the British writer Patrick Hamilton’s famous psychological thriller “Rope.” The play “Rope” was premiered in London at the Ambassadors Theatre on April 25, 1929.

Delves into the complexities of crime, its psychological aspects, and its impact on society.

The 3rd batch of Mandala Theatre’s ‘Re-Act’ began staging the drama as its final performance on June 19 (Asar 5). The drama reflects their long practice and maturity in the dramatic lessons of the batch.

Audience has also highly acclaimed the performance of the artist. They emphasized the realistic performance of the actors as the soul of the drama.

Somraj Yaduvanshi, Prema Lamgade, Pauragh Mardan Basyant, Nikesh Archarya, Sagar Tamang, Sagar Khadka, Bikrant Regmi, and Krishna Kumar Yadav are actors in the drama. Artist Sudeep Timilsina directed and translated the drama into the Nepali language.

The drama’ Hatya’ will be staged every day at 4:00 p.m. There is also an additional show on Saturday at noon. The staging of the drama will conclude on June 29 (Asar 15).
