Kathmandu: The pro-monarchist protesters have decided not to proceed towards New Baneshwar.
They had to stop their plans to march from Ratna Park to Baneshwar via Bhrikutimandap. After police prevented them from moving ahead, they have now planned to circle Tundikhel. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has stated that they will circle Tundikhel via Shahid Gate and continue their protest back at Ratna Park.
On Thursday, the royalist groups took out processions from seven different locations in Kathmandu. One procession started from Narayanchaur under the leadership of Nawaraj Subedi, coordinator of the United People’s Movement Committee.
A team, including RPP President Rajendra Lingden, arrived at Ratna Park from Maitidevi. RPP Nepal President Kamal Thapa led the procession starting from Sifal.
With this, all the leaders who brought out seven processions from seven different locations have now arrived at Ratna Park.
