Kathmandu: Legendary artist Hari Prasad Sharma’s paintings have been kept for the exhibition under the title “Nepal Down The Ages: Glimpses of Nepali History, Culture and Lifestyle in Painting.”
The exhibition is underway at the Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal. Sharma also published a book with the same title a few years ago.
The exhibition features paintings that capture the history of the Kathmandu Valley, its festivals, kings from the Malla to Shah periods, royal court activities, dances, culture, and the daily lives of people.
At 88 years old, Sharma is also an art historian who brings historical subjects to life through the colors of his imagination. The exhibition includes not only his paintings but also the canvases and paints he uses.
