One-way operation resumes in obstructed East-West Highway

Kathmandu: The East-West Highway in Nawalparasi West has reopened for one-way traffic after being damaged by floods that followed Friday night’s rain.

Nawalparasi West Police Chief, SP Anupam Shrestha, informed Nepal Views that the road has been operating one-way since around 11 a.m. on Saturday.

‘The road, which had been blocked since Friday night, is now open for one-way traffic. Vehicles are now moving towards their destinations,’ he said. SP Shrestha also mentioned that work to fully reopen the road in both directions is ongoing with the help of Chinese vehicles.
