Vehicle carrying 4 lawmakers crashes in Morang

Kathmandu: A vehicle, traveling from Jhapa to Biratnagar, carrying Provincial Assembly members has met with an accident in Kanepokhari, Morang.

The accident occurred on Monday afternoon at Ward No. 7 of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality along the East-West Highway, when a car (registration number Ba 5 Cha 3530) heading towards Jhapa from Belbari collided with another car (registration number BAE 1406) coming from the opposite direction.

The vehicle was carrying Provincial Assembly members Nambarlal Dhimal, Radhakrishna Khanal, Maiya Shrestha, and Bidya Chamling. According to the police, all of them are in normal condition, though the vehicle was completely damaged.

MP Maiya is a member of the Nepali Congress. Similarly, Radhakrishna is a member of the CPN (UML). Nambarlal is a proportional representative MP from Jhapa under the UML. MP Bidya is a proportional representative from the CPN (Unified Socialist).
