2 children murdered in Chitwan

Kathmandu: A person has killed his daughter and nephew, attacking them with a sharp weapon in Chitwan district.

Leela Raj Giri (42 years old) of Bharatpur metropolitan city also tried to kill himself after murdering his daughter and nephew. Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office, Govinda Puri said Giri attacked his seven-year-old daughter, Prabha Giri and five-year-old nephew at a time when the children were getting ready for school.

SP Puri said all of them were brought to Chitwan Medical College for treatment, where the two children died, and the condition of Giri is serious. Giri is a former soldier and was reportedly suffering from mental illness.
