Kathmandu: Chairperson of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, has said the government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2025-26 appear to reflect merely the ‘formality’ of the government.
He claimed that the citizens are disappointed with the new policies and programs of the government. The RPP lawmaker was putting his views on the policies and programs representing the party in the House of Representatives (HoR) session on Friday.
‘The Budhigandaki-like project of national pride failed to get priority in the government’s policies and programs,’ said Lingden. He further added that it incorporated no programs aiming to create employment opportunities for youths.
Rajendra Prasad Pandey of the CPN (Unified Socialist) said amidst economic crisis and youth plights, the country needed to rely on remittance-based economy.
‘The government became unable to present substantive policies and programs to correct the bad governance and the institutional failure and to address the livelihood needs of the citizens,’ said Pandey.
