PM Sharif: Pakistan responded to Indian attack

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan responded to Indian air strikes by shutting down Indian jets.

The BBC cited PM Sharif as saying the attack was a reply from Pakistan to India’s attack. Pakistan said 31 people died and 57 were injured in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, due to the air attacks firing along the Line of Control (LOC).

Indian army said Pakistan’s shelling killed around 15 civilians on its side of the de facto border.

India said Wednesday’s air strike was a response to a deadly attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025.
