US Embassy urges people to avoid illegal immigration to America

Kathmandu: The US Embassy in Nepal has issued an alert for Nepalis to avoid illegal immigration to America.

Taking to its social media, X on Wednesday, the Embassy said the attempt to enter the United States illegally is dangerous, costly, and harmful.

‘For Nepalis, illegal immigration puts your safety at risk and places a serious financial burden on you and your family. Many people spend their life savings or borrow large sums of money to pay individuals who promise illegal entry, only to face arrest, deportation, or worse,’ said the Embassy.

The Embassy urges people to avoid the risky routes that spread false information and take advantage of their hopes. ‘The reality is harsh. Illegal immigration can lead to exploitation, unsafe conditions, and permanent ineligibility to enter the United States legally,’ warned the US Embassy.
