‘Nagdhunga-Naubise’ road section to remain closed for 4 hours during night (Photos)

Kathmandu: The ‘Nagdhunga-Naubise’ road section of the Tribhuvan Highway will be closed for four hours every night starting from Baisakh 22 (May 5) for road maintenance and improvement works in the Piplamod area.

Under the Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project (Eastern Section), repair and blacktopping works are being carried out in Nagdhunga, Piplamod, and Naubise areas.

Issuing a public notice, the Mugling Road Project (Eastern Section) said in coordination with the concerned District Administration Office, vehicular movement on the road will be partially halted from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM from Baisakh 22 to Baisakh 31 (May 5–May 14) for road construction work.

Vehicles heading from Kathmandu will be stopped at the Nagdhunga Check Post, while those coming toward Kathmandu from Naubise will be halted at the Khatrapauwa Bridge.

The project has also requested travelers to use alternative routes such as the Sitapaila–Bhimdhunga–Ramkot–Dharke road, the Samakhushi–Tokha–Gurjebhanjyang, and Chhahare–Trishuli–Galchhi road.
