Prachanda urges teachers not to stop demonstration

Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged not to stop the demonstration after repeatedly being deceived.

Addressing the establishment day of the 76th Nepal Communist Party at Perisdada on Tuesday, Prachanda urged not to stop the demonstration as the government was not serious in addressing teachers’ demands. He urged teachers to continue demonstrating patiently.

‘You have repeatedly held demonstrations, repeatedly made agreements, and repeatedly got deceived. We all have a responsibility to prevent such a situation,’ said Prachanda.

Prachanda said there are evidences regarding on resignation of Education Minister Bidhya Bhattarai and the government is irresponsible in addressing teachers’ demands.

Likewise, Prachanda said teachers’ demands are not new and insisted Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was negative about moving forward as per the agreement.
