PM Oli honours 6 senior communist leaders

Kathmandu: Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli has honoured six senior leaders with the ‘Communist Fighter Honour’ on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the Nepal Communist Party.

The party leaders feted on the occasion are Ratna Prasad Neupane (posthumously), Lal Bahadur Bishwakarma (Kanchanpur), Bachaspati Devkota (Gorkha), Shanta Manavi (Kathmandu), Satya Narayan Mandal (Saptari), Shobharam Basnet (Dang) and Haricharan Shiwakoti (Jhapa).

A book entitled ‘Shelter’, featuring experiences and struggles of party leaders who had been underground during the Panchayat system, was launched on the occasion.
