APF divers searching 2 missing people in Saptakoshi river

Kathmandu: Two people have gone missing after drowning while bathing in the Saptakoshi river at Barahachhettra Temple in Barahachhettra Municipality, Sunsari.

Nawaraj Bastola (40 years old), resident of Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality, Khotang, and Jenish Archarya (16) of Sunsari Municipality-16 went missing after drowning while bathing at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Armed Police Force (APF) divers have been mobilized to search for the missing people.

After the search operation carried out by the security personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal’s Security Base in Chatara failed to locate the missing person, an additional security team, including five divers has been deployed under the command of an Armed Police Inspector from the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 1 Baraha Bahni Headquarters in Sunsari.

The team reached the spot and began their search operation.
