Janamat and Nagarik Unmukti Party agree to name unified party “Nagarik Janamat”

Kathmandu: Janamat Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party have agreed to name their unified party “Nagarik Janamat.”

Janamat Party Vice Chairperson Abdul Khan said that the task force meeting held in Bardiya reached an agreement to name the party Nagarik Janamat and to use the “Dhakiya” (traditional grain measuring container) as the election symbol.

‘It has been agreed that the flag will have a rectangular shape with the Dhakiya symbol. We have agreed to name the unified party Nagarik Janamat, ‘ he told Nepal Views.

Resham Lal Chaudhary will be the patron of the unified party. It has been agreed that CK Raut will serve as the executive chairperson.

Similarly, Nagarik Unmukti Party Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha will hold the third-highest position in the Nagarik Janamat.

Abdul Khan informed that the official announcement of the party unification will be made by Baisakh 15 (around April 27).
