2 killed, 2 injured in road accident

Kathmandu: 2 people have died and 2 others injured in a road accident that took place in Malarani, Arghakhanchi.

The accident occurred on Sunday morning when a jeep(Lu. 2 Cha. 2990) heading towards Khandaha from Lutipokhari lost control and fell 200 meters below the road in Malarani Rural Municipality-3.

According to the Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla, the deceased have been identified as driver of the jeep Dilip Khanal (22), and Balkrishna Rijal (21)of Malarani-4,

The injured are 17-year-old Bhuwan Pokharel and Basanta Pokharel (17), both of Malarani-4. They are undergoing treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.

District Police Office Chief Malla said an investigation into the incident is underway.
