PM Oli: Demands of Tharu, Muslims will be addressed

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the issue related to reservation of other sides including Tharu and Muslims would be addressed once the Federal Civil Service Act is promulgated.

At the Q&A session in a meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, lawmaker Bina Kumari Thanait questioned the non-arrangement of reservation for the Tharu community as a separate community and the delay in promulgation of the Civil Service Act.

Responding to queries of lawmaker Thanait, PM Oli said, ‘Clause-wise discussion is taking place on the bill designed to manage formation, operation and condition of service of Federal Civil Service, 2080 in the State Affairs Committee, the opportunity of reservation has been provided to Tharu community even in civil service act keeping them in the indigenous community.’

He said the House that the principle of inclusion has been adopted in course of appointing in various public posts after formation of the incumbent government.
