Sindhupalchowk: Thousands of domestic tourists from the Kathmandu Valley and peripheral regions have gathered in the tourist hotspot of Sukute to celebrate Holi.

Most of the domestic tourists arrived in Sukute on Wednesday evening to enjoy Holi and enjoy rafting.

Currently, around 15 large resorts and 5 small hotels are operating in and around the Sukute market area. The primary goal of these resorts and hotels is to provide impeccable rafting experiences to both domestic and international tourists.

The Bhote Koshi River, ranked among the top five rafting destinations in the world, is a favorite choice for people from the Kathmandu Valley.

Apart from this, the Trishuli River is also a popular rafting destination. Nepal is globally renowned for rafting in several rivers including the Upper and Lower Bhote Koshi, Trishuli, Kali Gandaki, Arun, Tamor, Western Seti, and Marshyangdi, among others.

According to Hotelier Deepak Kumar Rai, Rafting Star in Sukute, as temperatures rise, around 10,000 domestic tourists visit the area for rafting every weekend.
