Kathmandu: 3 people have died in a road accident that occurred at Sankhu.
A speeding tipper (Ba 2 Ka 6580) hit a shelter house run by the Conflict Victims and Disable Society Organization at around 3:40 a.m. at Salambutar in Shankharapur Municipality-6, Kathmandu on Friday.
The Spokesperson of the District Police Range and Superintendent of Police (SP), Apil Raj Bohara, said that 10 people were sleeping in the room when the accident happened and 3 of them died.
It is said that 61 individuals were residing in the shelter home of the organization run by Yubraj Thapa. Akash (21 years old), Suman (21), and Harizan (45) died while receiving treatment at Nepal Medical College, Jorpati.
Police have held the truck driver Sagar Majhi (25) of Sindhupalchowk, after the accident. Details of the accident are awaited.
