Nepal votes in favor of Ukraine at United Nations

Kathmandu: Nepal has voted in favour of a proposal that Russia should immediately withdraw from Ukraine’s territory.

Nepal extended its support for the proposal forward by the United Nations. According to source of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal’s representatives voted in favour of Ukraine.

Likewise, the proposal has been approved by the United Nations. 93 voted in favour of the proposal and 18 voted against the proposal.

The USA voted against the proposal. The USA voted against the proposal for the first time since the war between Russia and Ukraine began. Germany, the UK, France voted in favor of the proposal.

Along with the USA, Russia, Israel and Hungary voted against the proposal. The proposal was presented on the 3rd anniversary of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.  65 countries didn’t participate in a vote.
