CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Prachanda hoists National Flag

Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has stressed on preservation and promotion of the nation’s cultural diversity and historical heritage.

Hoisting the National Flag at Kachanakawal, the lowest place in the country, in the Jhapa district on Monday, the Maoist Centre Chairperson Prachanda called for the conservation and promotion of the heritages for building a culturally rich society.

Chairperson Prachanda raised the National Flag at the place marker at Kachanakawal. He is scheduled to launch the Maoist with the People Tarai Madhesh Public Awareness Campaign from the Hukka Hukki Chowk, Baniyani later in the day today.

Party’s Jhapa In-charge, Ranjit Tamang, said the Campaign commencing from Jhapa will conclude upon reaching Kanchanpur in Sudurpaschim, the far-west of the country.

The party chairperson is accompanied by the party’s senior vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, vice-chairperson Agni Sapkota, deputy general-secretary duo Barshaman Pun and Janardan Sharma.
