PM Oli: It was not me, but Radhika who brought me in

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that it was not him, but Radhika Shakya, who married and brought him in.

Addressing the book launch event of Shakya’s book “Karuna”, PM Oli shared about the situation during the time of their marriage.

PM Oli said, that before marriage, he had shared his situation of not being able to offer a cup of tea, give her a piece of cloth, a handkerchief, or feed a meal to Shakya. He said, ‘I have openly said all these things. I can’t provide. I’m not the type of person with the capacity to provide. I clearly stated this. I have always been transparent about everything.’

PM Oli said that Shakya made their current home. He said, ‘Even in this book, it is written-It was not KP Oli who brought me in, but it was I who found a room on rent and married him, brought him in. That’s the truth. The home we have now was made by Radhika Shakya; not by my audacity. That has been donated to a Trust. It’s not mine. So, I think no one, other than me, is the happiest person with a wife.’
