Democracy Day is celebrated to mark the end of 104 years of autocratic rule of Ranas.
Kathmandu: 75th Democracy Day has been celebrated by organizing a special event in Tundikhel.
Democracy Day is celebrated to mark the end of 104 years of autocratic rule of Ranas.
President, Prime Minister, Judges, Speakers, Ministers, Chiefs of Army and Police including senior officials participated in the program on Wednesday.
Likewise, the army showered flowers from helicopters bearing the banner of ‘National Democracy Day, 2081’, while, the messenger of peace pigeons and colorful balloons were flown away.
The troupes of security personnel also conducted march passes in the program. Different cultural rallies were also displayed in the program to mark Democracy Day.
