Preparation underway to bring Finance Minister Paudel and Pokhara Mayor Acharya to Kathmandu for treatment

Kathmandu: Finance Minister Vishnu Paudel and Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, who were injured due to a balloon explosion during the inauguration of Visit Pokhara Year 2025, will be brought to Kathmandu for further treatment.

According to a statement from the Finance Minister’s Secretariat, they are being transferred to the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur for additional treatment.

During the official inauguration of Visit Pokhara Year 2025, after switching on a light to ignite the panas, the balloon exploded, during the attempt of releasinging a balloon.

Immediately after the balloon exploded, it caught fire, injuring Finance Minister Paudel and Mayor Acharya.
