Babarmahal waterlogged incident: Repair of broken pipe in full swing (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: The repair of the Melamchi water pipeline has been ongoing in full swing at Babarmahal.

Along with repairing pipes, construction of damaged roads is underway in Babrmahal on Thursday. The pipe busted when a team from the Nepal Electricity Authority was drilling the road section for an underground supply of electricity.

NEA issued a press release on Wednesday, explaining the incident. The authority stated about bearing the cost for the repair and maintenance of the pipe.

The premises of the District Court, Kathmandu were submerged after the main pipe of Melamchi drinking water burst on Wednesday.

Government offices such as the Forestry Complex, Special Court, and District Court were flooded with water. Security personnel rescued some people with the help of a rope from the area.
