RSP Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane meets Speaker Ghimire (Photos)

Kathmandu: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has held a meeting with Speaker Ghimire.

RSP Chairperson Lamichhanne met Speaker Ghimire at his office, Singhadurbar on Friday.

Along with Lamichhane, RSP Lawmakers were also present in the meeting.

Chairperson Lamichhane requested Speaker Ghimire to lift his suspension, starting from today’s parliamentary session.

In the petition, Rabi stated, ‘The suspension imposed on me under Section 27 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2064 is not legally valid. I request that the suspension be lifted in today’s session itself.’

In response, the Speaker stated that he had made the suspension decision per the existing laws, parliamentary regulations, and practices.

He further mentioned that he would hold additional discussions and consultations regarding Lamichhane’s petition.
