Prachanda: No possibility of collaborating with CPN (UML) in upcoming election

Kathmandu: The CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has clarified about having no possibility of contesting elections in collaboration with the CPN (UML).

Addressing a press meet organized by the Press Center Dang in Ghorahi on Saturday, Chairperson Prachanda stated that the unity with the CPN (UML) and the subsequent collaboration did not last long, emphasizing that there is no possibility of contesting elections together with the CPN (UML) anymore.

Chairperson Dahal said the party has already decided to contest the elections of 2084 Bikram Sambat relying solely on the strength of the CPN (Maoist Centre).

Prachanda also said the CPN (Maoist Centre) will work towards winning the people’s trust by correcting its weaknesses and advancing accordingly. He reiterated that attempts were made to unseat him unconstitutionally through manipulations when he tried to dismantle the setup of intermediaries.

Moreover, he further stated the government convened the parliament only because the opposition united and pressured the government to call a session after witnessing the wrongful tradition of governing through ordinances.
