Gold price up by Rs 1,000 per tola

Kathmandu: The price of gold has gone up by Rs 1,000 per tola (11.66 grams) in the local market.
The surge is attributed to the increase of the yellow metal in the international market and rising demand in the local market.
With the hike in the price, the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association fixed the price of gold at Rs 160,600 per tola on Friday.
It was traded at Rs 159,600 yesterday. Likewise, the price of silver has climbed to Rs 1,880 per tola today, with a slight increase. According to the Federation, It is being traded at Rs 1,880 against Rs 1,875 on Thursday.
