Foreign Minister Dr. Rana aggrieves fatal train accident in Maharashtra of India

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has expressed sorrow over the train accident that took place on Wednesday at Maharastra, India.

Taking to a social site on Thursday, the Foreign Minister said she was saddened by the deaths of Nepali and Indian nationals in the accident. Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Minister Deuba paid tributes to the departed souls.

The Minister Dr Rana wished for a quick recovery of the injured. She telephoned the Nepali ambassador to India and the Indian ambassador to Nepal, urging the authorities concerned in both countries to engage in the rescue and relief efforts and the treatment of the injured in an effective way.

At least 11 people including four Nepalis have been confirmed dead in the accident.
