South Korea’s Corruption Investigation Office (CIO) for High Officials issued an arrest warrant against Yeol at 7:23 a.m. today.

South Korea’s suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol arrested

Kathmandu: South Korea’s suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol has been arrested.

Yeol was arrested on Wednesday.

South Korea’s Corruption Investigation Office (CIO) for High Officials issued an arrest warrant against Yeol at 7:23 a.m. today. He was then arrested from his residence.

Before an arrest, Yeol issued a video message and said that an investigation against him was illegal.

Likewise, a crowd of Yeol’s supporters gathered on the street to protest against the arrest.

He announced ‘Martial Law’ on December 3 but stepped back after 3 hours due to the protest.

Due to the incident, an impeachment motion was passed against Yeol on December 14. Then, he was dismissed from the post.
