Kathmandu: President Paudel has inspected the under-construction building within Singhadurbar premises.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal were also present during the inspection on Monday.
Ministry of Urban Development Secretary Gopal Sigdel briefed President Paudel about the progress of the construction of the building.
The building consisting of 12 blocks has been constructed for both houses of the Federal Parliament, House of Representatives, National Assembly Parliamentary Committees, and the Offices of Parliamentary Parties.
Likewise, out of 173 ropani, 45% will be of the House of Representatives and National Assembly.
Due to the unavailability of the parliament building, the government has been using New Baneshwor’s International Convention Centre as a parliament building after 2008 (2064 Bikram Sambat).
