Corruption case filed against 12 people, including Arjunchaupari Rural Municipality then Chairperson Aryal

Kathmandu: A corruption case has been filed against then Chairperson Arjunchaupari Rural Municipality, Syangja Dirga Narayan Arayl and other 12 people.

Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed case in Special Court on Tuesday.

It is mentioned in charge sheet that corruption was committed by substandard slopes in the financial year 2075-76 and 2076-77. They have been accused of committing corruption of 27 lakh 5 thousand 11 rupees and 8 lakh and 34 thousand 320 rupees.

Including Aryal, then Chief Administration Officer Puran Gurung, then Engineer Navin Thapa, Consumer Management Committee Chairperson Bal Krishna Poudel, Secretary Krishna Prasad Kafle, Treasurer Him Kumari KC, Chief Administrative Officer Kamal Prasad  Gautam, Engineer Sudip Archarya, Lower Market Drainage and Slope Construction Consumer Committee Chairperson Mangal Devi Thapa Magar, Secretary Bishnu Kumari BK and Treasurer Ek Narayan Devkota and others are made defendant.
