Death toll reaches 151

Kathmandu: The death toll of the people, who have been killed in a plane crash in South Korea, has reached 151.

The National Fire Agency updated the death toll figure to 151. Out of them, 71 are identified as male and 71 female. The sex of 9 people who died is yet to be confirmed.

The BBC cited the country’s fire service as saying the plane carrying 181 passengers, including six crew members, crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea.

The Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) issued a notice that they would run a temporary train between Seoul Station and Mokpo Station. The free service will run for families of casualties, government officials, and others who need to reach the site.

Two flight crew were rescued from the wreckage and taken to hospital.

1,562 personnel have been deployed for the rescue. According to the agency, 490 fire department employees and 455 police officers are also on the site.
