Bhaktapur father-son murder case: Elder son surrenders to police

Kathmandu: Milan Acharya, who murdered his father and brother, has surrendered to police.

SSP Sanu Ram Bhat said Milan went to Police Circle, Maharajgunj on Tuesday, and surrendered himself.

Milan murdered his father Kul Prasad Acharya (56 years old) resident of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-1 and his brother Praveen Acharya (22) was found dead in a rented house at Suryabinayak Municipality-2 Balkot, Bhaktapur on Monday.

Milan absconded after the incident. Police said Milan murdered his father and brother as he was in a mentally disturbed situation due to a conflict with his lover. In his statement, he said he used a dumbbell and Silauto (Stone Hand Grinder).

Likewise, after the murder, he booked an In-drive ride and went to Satdobato. Then, he again booked another ride and went to Kalanki.

After reaching Kalanki he threw his mobile SIM Card. Then, he went to Police Circle, Maharajgunj, and surrendered.

SSP Bhattarai said now the investigation about the incident will be intensified.
