KMC completes 43 infrastructure projects in last five months

KMC has constructed 8.40 kilometers of road under the Regular Road Repair Programme, 10.20 kilometers of road under the Infrastructure Ambulance Programme, 9.40 kilometers under the Dust-free Road Programme, and 9.30 kilometers of road under the Carry-over Programme during the five months.

KMC completes 43 infrastructure projects in last five months

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has completed 43 infrastructure projects in the first five months of the current fiscal year starting July 16. The metropolis has asphalted 37.30 kilometers of road during this period.

Similarly, KMC has constructed 8.40 kilometers of road under the Regular Road Repair Programme, 10.20 kilometers of road under the Infrastructure Ambulance Programme, 9.40 kilometers under the Dust-free Road Programme, and 9.30 kilometers of road under the Carry-over Programme during the five months.

KMC Public Works Department Chief Suraj Shakya shared about the current progress of infrastructure projects during the Budget Formulation Committee meeting held on Friday. KMC Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol presided over the meeting.

Shakya said that along with the black-topping of the roads, 5.80 kilometers of roads have been pitched with RCC, drains constructed on 1.16 kilometers of road, slabs have been laid on 2,070 square meters of roads. The Department stated that public works with investments of around Rs 880 million have been carried out in the last five months of the current fiscal year.
