Kathmandu: The staging of the play ‘Yashasvi Bhavaḥ’ is going on at Kunja Theatre, Thapagaun.

‘Yashasvi Bhavaḥ’ is a Sanskrit phrase, which means “Be prosperous” or “May you be successful.” Child actors have indulged in the typical characters to shed light upon the dark reality of Nepali society.

The play ‘Yashasvi Bhavaḥ’ presents the unbreakable bond of a grandmother and granddaughter. It shows how grandchildren are deeply attached to their grandparents.

The impact of putting children in disguise has been reflected in the drama. It also touches on the psychological impact of a bad decision on three different age groups. At the same time, the subject matter of the play is realistic and reflects a powerful lesson.

The play ‘Yashasvi Bhavaḥ’ also revolves around the decline of human consciousness and the social confusion caused by modernity. It attempts to show how people are confused about their duties and rights, due to the rapid pace of modernity and lack of awareness, despite of increase in literacy rate.

Likewise, lies, illusions, and self-centered behavior in human relationships are portrayed as disruptive forces in the social structure.

Reshika Shrestha, Mansun Phuyal, Sadbhavana Thapa, Angel Shrestha, Manjari Shrestha, Sadikshya Shreshta, Pranita Shreshta, Ira Shrestha, Anusha Shrestha, Merisha Shreshta, Rabina Gajmer and Rajan Rana Magar are actors of the play.

The staging of the drama began on December 18 (Poush 3). The play has been prepared in collaboration with Sadbhawa Theatre Nepal and PEAK Point Education Network.

Ram K.C. is the writer and director of the play. The play will be staged every day at 11: 00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The staging of the drama began on December 18 (Poush 3) and will conclude on December 21 (Poush 6).
