Janakpur Bolts defeat Karnali Yaks to reach finals of NPL

Kathmandu: Janakpur Bolts have booked their spot in the final of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Jankapur Bolts defeated Karnali Yaks by 2 wickets at T.U International Cricket Ground on Thursday.

With this, Janakpur Bolts have become the second team to reach the finals. Karnali Yaks has become third in the tournament.

Janakpur Bolts chased the target of 119 runs in 19 overs with a loss of 8 wickets.

James Neesham’s furious batting contributed 45 runs for JanakpurBolts. Harsh Thaker contributed 17 runs and Sher Malla was unbeaten at 16 runs.

Bipin Sharma took 3 wickets for Karnali Yaks. Captain Sompal Kami, William Bosisto, and Zeeshan Maqsood took 1 wicket each for the team.

In the first innings, Karnali Yaks scored 118 runs in 20 overs, with a loss of  9 wickets.

Gulshan scored 25 runs, Dev Khanal contributed 24 runs for Karnali Yaks.

Lalit Rajbanshi, Mohammad Mohsin, and James Neesham took 2 wickets each for the Janakpur Bolts. Harsh Thaker and Sher Malla took 1 wicket each for the team.

Now, Janakpur Bolts will compete against Sudurpaschim Royals for the title of NPL on Saturday.
