Supreme Court orders to present Durga Prasai in court

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has issued an order to present medical businessperson Durga Prasai in the court, who is in custody for the investigation in criminal breach of trust.
A single bench of Judge Sunil Kumar Pokharel gave the order while hearing the writ petition of habeas corpus filed by Prasai’s son Nirajan.
Prasai’s son Nirajan filed habeas corpus on Tuesday, saying that his father is being kept in custody illegally.
Likewise, the hearing of the writ was held on Wednesday. Pokharel’s bench issued to show reason and asked to be present with the prisoner.
Earlier, the Supreme Court dismissed the petition, saying that Prasai was kept in custody according to the law.
