Kathmandu Gurkhas defeat Biratnagar Kings by 1 wicket

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Gurkhas have defeated Biratnagar Kings by 1 wicket in the Nepali Premier League (NPL).

Kathmandu Gurkhas chased the target to 117 runs in 18.1 overs with a loss of 9 wickets. With this 4th victory, Kathmandu’s chances for a play-off are still alive.

Kathmandu Gurkhas batters Pratik Shrestha scored 39 runs, Shankar Rana was unbeaten at 16 runs and Dipesh Kandel also unbeaten at 11 runs.

Captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 3 wickets for the Biratnagar Kings. Anil Kharel, Basir Ahamad, and Chris Sole took 2 wickets for the team.

In the first innings, Biratnagar Kings was packed in 117 runs in 19.5 overs.

Rajesh Pulami scored 25 runs, Dipak Bohara scored 20, and Scott Edwards 15 runs for the Biratnagar Kings.

Gerhard Erasmus took 3 wickets for the Kathmandu Gurkhas, Dipesh Kandel took 2 wickets, and Captain Karan KC, Shahab Alam, and Dan Douthwaite each took 1 wicket for the team.
