Neesham’s furious half-century fails to secure Janakpur Bolts’ victory

Kathmandu: Janakpur Bolts have lost the match against Chitwan Rhinos despite the furious half-century of James Neesham in the Nepal Premiere League (NPL).

Chitwan Rhinos defeated Janakpur Bolts by 32 runs at T.U. International Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Neesham furiously scored 65 runs out of 24 balls. It is the quickest half-century in NPL. He smashed 5 boundaries and 6 sixes. Despite the blastic performance, Janakpur Bolts fail to secure victory.

Aasif Sheikh contributed 23, Subh Kansakar 15, and Mohammad Mohsin 13 runs for the team. Rest of the players fail to reach a 2 digit score.

Rijan Dhakal, Sohail Tanvir, and Kushal Malla took 2 wickets each for Chitwan Rhinos. Amar Routela took 1 wicket for the team.

With this, the chances of Biratnagar Kings and Pokhara Avengers reaching the playoff have ended.

In the first innings, Chitwan Rhinos scored 180 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 5 wickets at T.U. International Cricket Ground. Captain Kushal Malla scored a half-century for the team.

Kushal contributed 72 runs out of 41 deliveries. He smashed 3 boundaries and 7 sixes for the team. This is the first half-century of Kushal in NPL.

Ravi Bopara scored 44 runs. Hasan Eisakhil scored 28, Santosh Karki 14 and Bipin Rawal 3 runs for the team.

Lalit Rajbanshi delivered two maiden overs and took 2 wickets for Janakpur Bolts. Harsh Thaker and Mohammed Mohsin took 1 wicket each for the team.
