First defeat of Sudurpaschim Royals in NPL; Chitwan register their 3rd victory

Kathmandu: Sudurpaschim Royals have lost their first match in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Chitwan Rhinos defeated Sudurpaschim by 33 runs at TU. International Cricket Ground on Sunday. This is the 3rd victory of Chitwan Rhinos in NPL.

Sudurpaschim failed to chase the target of 165 runs. They scored only 131 runs losing all their wickets in 18.2 overs.

Ishan Pandey scored 35 runs out of 28 balls for Sudurpadchim Royals. Saif Zaib contributed 18 and Scott Kuggeleijn 16 runs for the team.

Captain Kushal Malla,  Rijan Dhakal, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, and Amar Routela took 2 –2 wickets and Sohail Tanvir took 1 wicket for Chitwan Rhinos.

In the first innings, Chitwan Rhinos scored 164 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 5 wickets.

Hassan Eisakhil scored 65 runs out of 52 balls for Chitwan Rhinos. Ravi Bopara scored 36 runs for the team.

Bipin Rawal contributed 17 and Kushal Malla 13 runs for the team.

Scott Kuggelejin took 2 wickets for the Sudurpaschim Royals. Dipendra Singh Airee, Brandon McMullen, and Saif Zaib took 1-1 wickets for the Sudurpaschim Royals.
