Kathmandu: Renowned Sri Lankan playwright and director Sachithra Rahubadda’s play “Tikerty Tale Teller” has been staged at Shilpee Theatre in Battisputali.

According to Shilpee’s director, Yubaraj Ghimire, a special one-day show of the play was performed on Friday, Mangsir 21 (December 6, 2024).

Ghimire stated that “Tikerty Tale Teller” was specially staged at Shilpee Theatre during the 4th Kathmandu Lalabala International Theatre Festival 2024.

“Tikerty Tale Teller” is one of the best plays from Sri Lanka, created with children and youth at its core. Through the integration of storytelling and stagecraft, the play aims to entertain and deliver a meaningful message to the audience.

Sachithra Rahubadda has staged various experimental plays aimed at fostering creativity among children and youth. He also established the Red Apple International Theatre Gathering, which connects theatre artists from around the world.

Rahubadda’s plays combine traditional themes with modern theatre techniques, making them appealing to audiences of all age groups.
