Karnali Yaks bags its first victory in NPL; Chitwan Rhinos defeated by 6 wickets

Kathmandu: Karnali Yaks have defeated Chitwan Rhinos by 6 wickets in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Karnali Yaks chased the target of 131 runs in 19.5 overs with the loss of 4 wickets at T.U International Cricket Ground on Friday.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 45 runs for the Karnali Yaks. Chadwick Walton contributed 30 runs and Dev Khanal 25 runs.  Zeeshan Maqsood was unbeaten at 12 runs.

Chitwan Rhinos’s Captain Kushal Malla, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Ravi Bopara, and Ravi Bopara took 1-1 wickets.

In the first innings, Chitwan Rhinos scored 130 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 7 wickets.

Ravi Bopara scored a half-century for the Chitwan Rhinos. He was unbeaten at 59 runs. Ravi smashed 7 fours and 1 six in  40 balls.

Captain Kushal Malla contributed 23 runs and Bipin Rawal 11 runs to the team.

Karnali Yaks won the toss and decided to bowl first. Bipin Sharma took 3 wickets for the Karnali Yaks.

Zeeshan Maqsood took 2 wickets, and Captain Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav took 1-1 wickets for the team.
