NPL: Kathmandu Gurkhas defeats Karnali Yaks by 3 wickets

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Gurkhas has defeated Karnali Yaks by 3 wickets in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Kathmandu Gurkhas chased a target of 150 runs in 19.3 overs, losing 7 wickets at Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground on Wednesday.

Kathmandu’s Summit Maharjan was unbeaten at 40 runs. Gerhard Erasmus 38, Sumit Maharjan Karan KC 28 runs and Michael Levitt scored 22 runs for the team.

Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, Gulshan Jha, Zeeshan Maqsood, and Bipin Sharma took 1 wicket each for Karnali.

In the first innings, Karnali posted 149 runs with a loss of 5 wickets at Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground, Kritipur.

Karnali’s Shikhar Dhawan was unbeaten at 72 runs.  He smashed 5 sixes and four boundaries. Chadwick Walton added 21 runs,

Gerhard Erasmus took 2 wickets for Kathmandu Gurkhas.
