Biratnagar Kings bags its first victory in NPL; Defeats Lumbini Lions by 2 wickets

Kathmandu: Biratnagar Kings has defeated Lumbini Lions by 2 wickets in Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Biratangar Kings chased the target of 192 runs with a loss of 8 wickets in a nail-biting match at Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground on Wednesday.

Lokesh Bam scored 71 runs. He smashed 6 sixes and 3 fours. Basir Ahamad scored 40 and Martin Guptill 28 runs for Biratanagar Kings.

Durgesh Gupta took 3 wickets,  Saad Bin Zafar and, Ramond Simmonds took 2 wickets for Lumbini Lions.

In the first innings, Lumbini Lions gave a target of 192 runs to Biratnamgar Kings.

Lumbini Lions scored 191 runs in 20 Overs with a loss of 7 wickets.

Captain Rohit Paudel contributed 46 runs for the team. Tom Moores scored 30 runs. Bibek Yadav was unbeaten at 19 runs.

Biratnagar’s Captains Sandeep Lamichhane, Ismat Alam, and Rajesh Pulami took 1-1 wickets.

Now, Pokhara Avengers and Janakpur Bolts as well as Kathmandu Gurkhas and Sudurpaschim Royals will compete on Thursday.
