NPL: Chitwan Rhinos defeats Pokhara Avengers by 87 runs

Kathmandu: Chitwan Rhinos has defeated Pokhara Avengers by 87 runs in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Pokhara Avengers failed to chase the target of 162 runs at Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground on Tuesday.

Narayan Joshi scored 30 runs and Marcus Critchley 17 runs for the team.

Sohail Tanvir, Rijan Dhakal, and Luc Benkenstein took 3 wickets each for Chitwan. And Deepak Bohara took another 1 wicket for the team.

In the first innings, Chitwan Rhinos posted 161 runs with the loss of 7 wickets at Tribhuvan Cricket Ground on Tuesday. Chitwan Rhinos batsman Rabi Bopara scored a half-century. He scored 51 runs, as he smashed 3 boundaries and 3 sixes.

Likewise, Captain Kushal Malla scored 38 runs, Luc Benkenstein 16 Hasan Eisakhil 14, Amar Rautela 13, and Sharad Veshwakar 11 runs.

Pokhara Avengers bowlers Raymon Reifer, Bipin Khatri, and Bas de Leede took 2-2 wickets, and Sagar Dhakal took 1 wicket.
