Kathmandu: World Leaders have welcomed the cease-fire agreement between Israel and Lebanon’s armed group Hezbollah.
According to Aljazeera, leaders across the world opined about the agreement on Wednesday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Biden for their involvement in securing the ceasefire agreement. PM Netanyahu also appreciated his understanding of Israel to maintain its freedom of action in enforcing it.
Russian Foreign Ministry said the cease-fire agreement looked positive on any agreement and would put an end to the violence in Lebanon.
Similarly, Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides said that his country would support Lebanon in fostering its state institutions, including the Lebanese Armed Forces. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt welcomed the ceasefire agreement and said that Israel should also stop its aggression on Gaza.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the agreement was encouraging news and it would increase Lebanon’s internal security stability.
Moreover, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei reaffirmed Iran’s firm support for the Lebanese government, nation, and resistance.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Jordan, called the agreement an important step and Israel’s aggression on Gaza should also be stopped. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar said that the aggression on Gaza should also be halted, like with Lebanon.
