Foreign Affairs Minister Rana departs for China (Photos)

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has departed for China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The team, led by Minister Rana, is visiting to prepare for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s upcoming visit to China.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Rana will visit China until November 30 at the invitation of Wang Yi, who is a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs.

During the visit, Minister Rana is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with her Chinese counterpart on November 29. The discussions will focus on preparations for Prime Minister Oli’s upcoming formal visit to China, as well as a range of issues of mutual interest between the two countries.

While Oli’s visit is expected to begin on December 3, both countries have yet to make an official announcement.
