Durga Prasai's custody extended for 5 days

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu District Court, has granted permission to keep medical businessman Durga Prasai in custody for an additional 5 days.

The Court permitted the Police to keep Prasai for an additional 5 days. Prasai was arrested from his residence located at Kamerotar, Bhaktapur on Tuesday.

CIB arrested Prasai at the request of Cyber Cell in the ‘Cyber Crime. He has been making controversial statements regarding Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Likewise, Prasai accused Prime Minister Oli of having investments in Cambodia’s telecommunications sector. He was arrested on charges of character assassination of Tika Sangroula, a central member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), among others on September 22.
