Durga Prasai taken to Public Prosecutor’s Office

Kathmandu:  Durga Prasai’ Viral Man’, who is arrested in a cybercrime case has been taken to the Public Prosecutors Office, Kathmandu.

Prasai was taken to the Public Prosecutor’s office on Wednesday, for the statements and extension of custody. He was arrested from his residence Kamerotar, Bhaktpaur on Tuesday.

Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Prasai at the request of Cyber Cell in the ‘Cyber Crime’ case.

Recently, Prasai has been making controversial statements regarding Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. He was arrested following a contentious remark against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Likewise, Prasai accused Prime Minister Oli of having investments in Cambodia’s telecommunications sector.

He was arrested on charges of character assassination of Tika Sangroula, a central member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), among others on September 22.
